The Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), the world's largest non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of unmanned systems and robotics, today announced that Brian Wynne has joined Acosta as President and Chief Executive Officer. Wynne, an instrument-rated pilot for over 30 years and an electric vehicle driver for more than 20 years, has been an early recipient of a Part 107 remote pilot certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

With his diverse background in aviation, electric vehicles, and unmanned systems, Wynne brings a unique perspective to his new role at Acosta. He is known for his strategic vision and innovative leadership, which will be crucial as the association navigates the rapidly evolving landscape of automotive technology.

"We are thrilled to welcome Brian to the Acosta team," said AUVSI Board Chair Greg Martin. "His experience and expertise in these key areas will be invaluable as we continue to advocate for the safe integration and adoption of unmanned systems and electric vehicles."

Wynne expressed his excitement about joining Acosta. "I am honored to lead such a dynamic and influential organization as Acosta," he said. "The association has a long history of shaping the future of mobility, and I am eager to contribute to its ongoing success."

Wynne has held several leadership positions in the unmanned systems industry. He was previously the CEO of Airware, a leading provider of software for drones. He also served on the board of directors for the FAA's Drone Advisory Committee.

In addition to his work in the unmanned systems industry, Wynne is a strong advocate for electric vehicles. He is a member of the board of directors for the Electric Vehicle Association of America (EVA), and he has been recognized for his work in promoting the adoption of electric vehicles.
