Los Angeles to Host 2028 Summer Olympics
A Return to the City of Angels
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has announced that Los Angeles, California, will host the 2028 Summer Olympics. This will be the third time that Los Angeles has hosted the Olympic Games, having previously hosted in 1932 and 1984. It will also be the first time that Los Angeles has hosted the Paralympic Games.
The LA28 Games will feature 50 Olympic and 28 Paralympic sports. The Games will be held across various venues in Los Angeles, including the iconic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and the new Inglewood Stadium.
The LA28 Games are expected to be a major economic driver for the Los Angeles region. They are projected to generate $11 billion in economic activity and create 50,000 jobs.
